Humaira Ali
Electoral Campaign Website

Read description

Humaira Ali is the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Bermondsey and Old Southwark. We built this site for her successful campaign to be elected to that position.

Humaira had an excellent campaign video, so we decided to break the rules and land on her fullscreen video on the homepage. This would not normally be acceptable in web development, but the fact that Humaira had a relatively small and particularly engaged audience meant we could count on their attention, which was borne out by the analytics and statistics we gathered. We also carried out user testing and tweaking to ensure users realised they were still looking at a website, not just a video!

Humaira had her own idea for a custom "my work" section, with thumbnails and images with overlaid textboxes, to demonstrate her previous work in the most engaging and interactive way. We coded Humaira's ideas for this section.

Dulwich Music Festival
Competition Entry Platform

Read description

Dulwich Music Festival hold music festivals and competitions for children and young people. They needed a website that would take the considerable competition admin off of their shoulders by allowing parents to sign up their children and buy audience tickets online, then log in and change their information any time before the day of the competition.

The site we built allows the user to browse upcoming competitions, including information about the event, map and address of the venue, photo and information about the adjudicator, and buy competitor and audience tickets for their chosen events online.

The website administrator can easily create new competitions, adjudicators and tickets, so putting a new competition on the website and setting up entries is easy for anyone with basic computer skills. On the day of the competition, the website can export an Excel file of the competitors that are registered in each category, which can be easily circulated to adjudicators and event staff.

The Lightworks Brixton
Photography Studio Website

Read description

The Lightworks Brixton are a commecial photography studio in South London, who needed a marketing website to promote their business in a particularly competitive sector.

We initially carried out an SEO audit, looking at the keywords which were most frequently being searched by their customers and the level of competition. This allowed us to understand which markets to target and the most effective way to structure the site.

We created a modern and appealing design, making the most use of the images of the studio which The Lightworks provided, with galleries to show their commerical portfolio.
